Morten Nybom Bethe is a partner in Gorrissen Federspiel’s banking and finance group. He joined the firm in 1998 and became a partner in 2008. He was seconded to Sullivan & Cromwell in New York in 2003. Mr Bethe advises domestic and foreign banks and financial institutions on all aspects of financial law such as ordinary loan and security agreements, acquisition finance and bond issues, as well as more specialised products such as securitisation, financial instruments and derivatives. Further, he provides advice on netting, clearing and regulatory matters. Mr Bethe has been very active in the rescue and public takeover work of Danish banks, including banks in financial difficulties, and has represented the Financial Stability Company, the Danish state-owned winding-up company for financial institutions, as well as other banks, in several major transactions involving public takeovers and the takeover and winding up of Danish banks from 2009 to 2013.
