Santiago Carregal is a partner at the firm who specialises in commercial, banking and capital markets law, and who has broad experience in banking and finance, capital markets, project financing, securitisation, debt restructuring, and real estate development and finance, advising major international companies, banks and multilateral credit agencies.

Previously, he was a partner of the law firm Carregal & Funes de Rioja, and was a vice president and assistant general counsel at JPMorgan, Buenos Aires branch, between 1993 and 1995. In addition, from 1992 and 1993, he worked as a foreign attorney for Shearman and Sterling in New York. He graduated from the University of Buenos Aires in 1984 with a degree in law, and obtained an LLM at the University of Illinois in 1987. He has spoken at many conferences and seminars on banking, corporate and financial matters. He is a professor of postgraduate studies in banking and finance at the Buenos Aires University School of Law.
