Kristina Locmele is a senior associate at Slaughter and May in London. She acts for a broad range of financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, investment firms, asset managers, payment institutions, e-money issuers and consumer credit providers, and non-regulated firms on regulatory matters, including in the context of corporate and commercial transactions. Kristina has extensive experience advising on various payment services, e-money and consumer credit issues, most recently, in relation to structuring and perimeter issues arising out of the integration of the consumer credit regime into the main UK financial services regulatory framework and the proposed amendments to the payment services regime. Kristina also provides specialist advice on structural reform and recovery and resolution planning and consequential changes to group structures and business models.
