Karen Anderson is a partner working in the financial services regulatory practice at Herbert Smith Freehills LLP. She has lengthy experience in advising a variety of financial institutions, professionals and service providers in the financial services sector on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious regulatory matters including market abuse, wholesale conduct, conflicts of interest, sponsor duties and disclosure rules. Having served a secondment with the regulator and in-house, and through her participation in a range of industry associations, including the BBA market abuse working group, the CLLS regulatory committee, which she co-chairs, and the Law Society banking reform working group, Karen remains actively involved in discussions with regulators and policymakers regarding the regulation of financial services.
