Gustaaf Reerink graduated from Leiden University, where he earned an LLM in private law, an MA in Indonesian studies, and a PhD in law, governance and development. In addition, he studied French at the University of Burgundy in Dijon, France, and read law at King’s College London and the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. Prior to joining ABNR, Mr Reerink worked as an associate in the Amsterdam and Brussels offices of Dutch law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. His current practice encompasses foreign investment, corporate, mergers and acquisitions, energy and resources, and related regulatory and compliance matters. He regularly publishes articles and gives presentations at international conferences on Indonesian legal matters, and serves as a guest lecturer at the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights and several Indonesian universities. He is admitted to the Amsterdam Bar.
