Kathryn Edghill is a partner of Bird & Bird, based in Sydney, Australia, where she is the partner in charge of the Competition and Regulatory practice. She is also the practice group leader of Bird & Bird’s Asia Pacific competition law practice.
Ms Edghill has over 26 years’ experience advising and representing clients on all aspects of Australian competition and consumer protection law. This includes applications for merger clearances to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) (including as part of global mergers); ACCC investigations and disputes; applications to the ACCC for leniency and immunity in respect of cartel conduct (including allegations of exchange of trade secrets between competitors); litigation involving allegations of anti-competitive conduct (including cartel conduct and misuse of market power); applications to the ACCC for authorisation and notification of anti-competitive conduct; drafting and implementing regulatory compliance programs; reviewing and drafting agreements and documents to ensure compliance with competition laws; negotiating and litigating infrastructure and services access arrangements.
