Mark Hyde is a partner in the banking and finance group of Clifford Chance in Hong Kong and is the Asia-Pacific finance practice area leader. He is also the global head of the firm’s restructuring and insolvency group. Throughout his career, spanning 30 years, his practice has exclusively focused on restructuring and insolvency work. Career highlights include advising the government of Brunei in relation to the collapse of National Bank of Brunei, advising the insolvency office holders of the Barlow Clowes Group, advising British Energy plc in relation to its restructuring, advising the insolvency office holders of Peregrine in Hong Kong and, more recently, advising on a number of headline restructurings in Dubai, including those of Dubai World, Nakheel, Dubai Drydocks, Limitless, DIC and Dubai Group. Mr Hyde is a member (and past president) of the Insolvency Lawyers Association, R3 and INSOL. He has for many years been listed in a number of directories as a leading practitioner for restructuring and insolvency work.
