Tommy Angermair is head of the employment, corporate immigration and data protection law department at Clemens, which is a substantial full-service firm by Danish standards.

He has advised a variety of Danish, and in particular, substantial multinational clients on complex employment law, corporate immigration law and data protection law matters since 2004.

Tommy is recommended in recent editions of Chambers Europe (Employment) and The Legal 500 EMEA (Employment). In the 2016 edition of Chambers Europe, Tommy was recommended as a leading lawyer and described by client references as 'a pure expert when it comes to employment law'.

Among his specialties are multi-jurisdictional employment matters (global mobility, international law, etc.), employee privacy (personal data protection, employee monitoring, background checks, etc.), employment law aspects of M&A transactions and various restructuring measures.

Tommy is also one of the most experienced legal experts in employee data protection law (specialist level since 2004). He is also specialised in corporate immigration law (work permits, business visas for inbound personnel, advising high net worth individuals, etc.)

Moreover, he is an experienced speaker at seminars and conferences, among other events, and author to articles in various legal publications, newspapers, online media publications, online portals, among other publications. Tommy annually speaks at major global and regional legal conferences on topics within his areas of expertise.

He is a member of the Danish Association of Labour and Employment Laywers, the Danish Association for Labour Law, Visalaw International and the American Immigration Lawyers Association as an International Associate. Before joining Clemens as from 1 September 2016, Tommy worked for several years in the employment law department of Kromann Reumert, which was Denmark’s leading law firm during that period. Tommy has also spent around six years in total working for Bird & Bird and Kirk Larsen & Ascanius.
