Lersak’s practice focuses mainly on litigation and dispute resolution.

He is well experienced in providing in-depth legal advice and strategic analysis on commercial laws, commercial contracts and work-for-hire contracts with the government authorities and state enterprises. He has represented many international and local banks and financial institutions in a great deal of high-value banking litigation involving disputes derived from or in connection with syndicated loans, credit facilities, letters of credit, trust receipts, financial instruments, derivatives, personal and corporate guarantees, and other security documents.

He has been very active in debt restructuring and business rehabilitation. He has represented foreign and local creditors, planners and plan administrators in restructuring the debt of many large corporate debtors via the business rehabilitation process under the Bankruptcy Court. He has acted in some of the most complicated business rehabilitation cases in Thailand.

He has been very active in both international and domestic arbitration, and has represented many international and Thai corporate clients, conducting arbitration on their behalf under the arbitration rules of the Thai Arbitration Institute and those of UNCITRAL. He has worked jointly with leading Singapore law firms in arbitration conducted in the Singapore International Arbitration Centre concerning disputes between Singaporean and Thai parties. He has also acted as arbitrator in arbitration conducted under the arbitration rules of the Thai Arbitration Institute.

In addition, Lersak represented consulting and securities firms in many regulatory investigations conducted by the Securities and Exchange Commission and other government bodies.

He obtained his LLB (with honours) from Thammasat University, his LLM from New York University, United States and is admitted to the Thai Bar Association.
