Christian Jahn is a partner in the finance department in the Munich office of Latham & Watkins. His broad practice includes acquisition finance, syndicated corporate loans, real estate finance and restructurings. He advises German and international banks and investors on complex financings and restructurings of cross-border acquisitions and crossover corporate loans, and counsels clients on the financing aspects of private equity and other M&A transactions.
Dr Jahn is listed as a ‘recommended’ lawyer for bank lending and acquisition finance in JUVE 2015/2016. He is recognised as an ‘up and coming counsel’ for banking and finance and as a ‘foreign expert’ for China (Chambers Europe Germany 2016, Chambers Global 2015). Clients say: ‘He is good at explaining things to non-lawyers, and not emotional, which is important in negotiations.’ (Chambers Europe Germany 2016).
In addition to his legal education in Germany, Dr Jahn studied Chinese (Mandarin) and Chinese law at the University of Nanjing.
He has published several articles on Chinese law and is a member of the German-Chinese Lawyers’ Association.
