Jayson Wood joined Harneys in 2013 and was a leader in the firm’s restructuring and insolvency practice in the Cayman Islands before relocating to Harneys’ new office in Bermuda in November 2015. He has over 20 years of legal experience in all aspects of corporate and insolvency litigation, with particular expertise in hedge fund collapses, shareholder disputes, corporate fraud, receiverships and liquidations, asset preservation and corporate reconstruction.

Prior to joining Harneys, he worked for six years with two other global offshore law firms in the Cayman Islands and the BVI. Prior to that, he was partner-in-charge of the dispute resolution team of Minter Ellison Lawyers (Gold Coast) in Australia.

Mr Wood has worked on, and continues to work on, many of the largest and most complex liquidations, shareholder disputes and restructurings in the Cayman Islands. He is ranked by Chambers Global, which describes him as ‘a careful and experienced lawyer who delivers advice that is of a very high standard and reflects his vast experience as an insolvency lawyer and litigator’.
