Ms Liu Siyuan specialises in litigation, particularly administrative proceedings and civil litigation related to security matters.

Ms Liu’s securities litigation practice covers a broad range of issues, such as insider trading, disclosure violations, fraudulent listings, securities market manipulation, securities selling violations and securities fraud. Ms Liu has represented or advised clients in more than 60 cases, which were either heard by the CSRC or litigated in courts at all levels nationwide. Her rich experience and deep insights in the field are evident in dozen of cases she has worked on, such as Everbright Securities’ ‘fat-finger’ case (concerning alleged inside trading), Aeolus’s disclosure-violation case, Donghai Ever-Trusting’s ETF-manipulation case, ChuY Agro-Pastoral’s majority shareholder’s security-selling violation case, and Honz Pharmaceutical’s false-statement case. With the benefit of Ms Liu’s professional service, various clients have been exempted from administrative penalties following CSRC investigations, or the courts have found in their favour in civil litigation addressing false-statement issues.

Ms Liu obtained her LLB and LLM degrees from Tsinghua University. Prior to joining Jingtian & Gongcheng, she worked for six years at another leading Chinese firm.
