Kosuke Yatabe is a member of the Capital Markets group in the firm’s Tokyo office and has over 10 years of legal experience in Japan. He received an LLB from Waseda University in 2002 and an LLM from the Northwestern University School of Law in 2012. He was admitted as a lawyer in Japan in 2005.
Kosuke co-authored the M&A Handbook on Conducting Business Practically in 2010 and has a wide range of experience in financial matters. In the area of capital markets, he has advised on and prepared documentation for cross-border securities transactions, IPOs, incentive plans and other corporate finance matters. In M&A, he has advised on and prepared documentation in connection with tender offer bids, restructuring and the formation of business alliances for corporations and REITs. Mr. Yatabe has also handled independent electricity production and fuel infrastructure projects. He has been involved in various structured finance matters, including the liquidation of real estate assets and receivables as counsel for both lenders and borrowers. He is also experienced in LPS fund matters and other investment projects.
