Gerhard Rudolph BLC LLB (University of Pretoria, South Africa) FCIArb.

Gerhard completed his studies in 1992 and was admitted as an attorney in 1995. His experience ranges from professional practice focusing on commercial dispute resolution to acting as in-house corporate counsel. In 2008 he founded a boutique litigation practice providing services to South Africa's largest listed companies, mining houses and banks. In December 2012 he joined Baker McKenzie with his entire team, where he now practises as the leader of the South African disputes practice group.

He has extensive experience both from a transactional and dispute resolution perspective in a broad range of areas of practice, including banking, insurance, construction and engineering, mining and resources, information technology and insolvency as well as general corporate and commercial issues.

Gerhard represents and advises a broad base of local and international corporate clients over a wide commercial spectrum and has been listed in The Legal 500, IFLR1000 and Chambers Global as one of South Africa's leading practitioners in the field of dispute resolution and construction law.

He has advised on and represented clients in numerous commercial arbitration hearings as well as enforcement proceedings, both locally and internationally. He has also acted as arbitrator in local commercial arbitration disputes. He is also an ongoing contributor to several international publications on dispute resolution and arbitration in South Africa.
