Gon-Uk Huh is a Korean patent attorney at Lee International IP & Law Group with experience prosecuting patent applications before the Korean Intellectual Property Office in the technical fields of communications, networking, semiconductors, displays, digital signalling processing and business methods. Mr Huh also has extensive experience in appeals procedures before the Intellectual Property Trial and Appeal Board, the Patent Court and the Supreme Court on behalf of foreign IT companies.

Since joining Lee International IP & Law Group in 2004, Mr Huh has managed patent cases relating to semiconductor manufacturing technologies and communications technologies. Mr Huh has researched patents declared by standards organisations, such as ETSI and ARIB, and patent pools, such as MPEG and LA. Mr Huh has also conducted prior art searches and provided infringement analyses and patentability opinions. In addition, he has provided a global semiconductor company with technical and legal advice on the establishment of its patent portfolio.

Mr Huh practised as a foreign intern at Kenyon & Kenyon in New York. He is a graduate of Seoul National University (BSc, electrical engineering, 1997) and Franklin Pierce Law Center (MIP, 2010).

Mr Huh is a co-author of the Korea chapters of Getting The Deal Through: Patents 2017.
