Hyoung Soo Kwon, as a senior attorney of the real estate practice at Kim & Chang, specialises in real estate law and oversees and supervises general matters for the real estate practice.

Since joining Kim & Chang in 2003, Mr Kwon has advised both foreign and domestic clients and acted as lead counsel for high-profile clients in relation to market-leading high-value cross-border and domestic investment and development projects in Korea such as, among others, the development of Parc 1 in Yeouido-dong, Seoul, the development of the headquarter buildings of Hyundai Motor Company Group in Samseong-dong, Seoul and the development of a semiconductor cluster by SK Group in Yongin City.

Furthermore, Mr Kwon also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment, corporate restructurings, and other transactional projects (including, but not limited to, real estate transactions regarding acquisitions and dispositions of office buildings, hotels and logistic facilities, commercial leases, and indirect real estate investments through various real estate investment vehicles such as real estate funds and REITs).

He received his LLM from Duke University in 2010, and his LLB from Seoul National University College of Law in 1998.
