Mona is a Partner at Anjarwalla & Khanna and is the head of the Property, Corporate and Commercial Department in Mombasa. She advises on property law, banking, corporate law, aviation, private client work and employment law. Mona has been singled out for her expertise in land law and as a result of this the firm was awarded Land Law Firm of the Year by The Finance Monthly Law Awards 2013, a UK based company annually awarding individuals in international law firms for their recognition in select fields.
Mona is co-author of the chapter on Kenya for the Global Legal Insights – Banking Regulation, 1st edition published in UK in May 2013. Mona also contributes annual country guide articles on Securities and Banking in Kenya and on Anti-Money Laundering to Thomson Reuters. She was one of the participants in the Virtual Round Table discussion on Banking and Finance in May 2013 together with other international professionals hosted by Corporate LiveWire. She is the partner in charge of ISFIN (Islamic Finance network of lawyers), of which the firm is a member and is developing the firm’s knowledge base in this nascent area.
Mona also leads the firm’s private client practice.

Mona graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Reading, England and completed the Legal Practice course in Guildford.
