Mario Adolfo Rognoni obtained a bachelor’s degree in law and political science from Santa Maria La Antigua University in Panama in 1996, and a master’s degree focusing on corporate and commercial law from Columbia University, New York City in 2000. He worked for nine years in the legal department at the Superintendency of Banks in Panama (1997–1999 and 2000–2007), dealing with all aspects of banking law and regulations. He then worked at another local law firm in Panama from 2007 to 2009, focusing on corporate and commercial law, and as a legal adviser for the Vice-Minister of Foreign Trade (2009–2011), focusing on foreign trade, exportation, investments and legislation. He joined Arosemena Noriega & Contreras as an associate in December 2011.
Mr Rognoni practises financial law, labour law, commercial law and administrative law. He is a member of Panama’s National Bar Association.
