Hirohito Akagami is a partner at Anderson Mōri & Tomotsune, engaged principally in the fields of financial, corporate and commercial law, with an emphasis on securities work and mergers and acquisitions. Typically, these transactions have involved Mr Akagami in representing the purchasers for tender offers for more than 15 years. He also advises clients on domestic and cross-border syndicated loans, securities and other financial transactions, as well as on corporate governance-related matters and regulatory issues.
He graduated from Tokyo University in 1986 and received his LLM from the University of London, London School of Economics and Political Science in 1993. He was seconded to Slaughter and May in London and Brussels in 1993 and 1994.
He has been a member of the Dai-ni Tokyo Bar Association in Japan since 1988. He speaks Japanese and English.
