David Kirkland is a senior associate in Gilbert + Tobin’s banking and infrastructure group. His practice is primarily focused on leveraged and acquisition finance transactions, both local and international. In this area, he has advised lenders, borrowers and sponsors across a number of transactions including secured, unsecured, syndicated and club loan arrangements. Mr Kirkland’s experience also extends to general corporate finance, capital markets transactions and asset-backed lending arrangements, including margin loans, as well as restructurings.
In addition to his time at Gilbert + Tobin, he has worked in the London offices of two large international firms.
Mr Kirkland holds a bachelor of laws degree with first-class honours from the University of Technology, Sydney. He is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, and has also been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales and as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.
