Humberto de Haro Sanches is partner, co-head of the private client department and board member of Ulhôa Canto. He graduated from the law school of the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo in 1996, became a member of the Brazilian Bar Association, São Paulo branch, in 1997, and received an MBA in finance from the Brazilian Capital Markets Institute at São Paulo (currently Insper) in 2007.
Mr Sanches was a foreign associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, in New York in 2000 and 2001.
His areas of practice include a wide variety of matters involving private client matters, in addition to corporate law, banking law and mergers and acquisitions. He has more than 15 years’ experience of practice in private client matters involving Brazilian and cross-border succession, tax and wealth planning, and advises financial institutions and private banks, family offices and asset management companies with respect to regulatory, tax and corporate matters.
He has participated as speaker and panellist in conferences and seminars in Brazil, Europe, the Caribbean and the United States.
He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
