Mrs Nakagawa Baptista has experience in construction and investment arbitration at state level, in addition to having acted in bilingual procedures. She is familiar with procedures administered by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the CIESP-FIESP Mediation and Arbitration Chamber (CMA CIESP-FIESP), the Arbitration and Mediation Centre of the Brazil–Canada Chamber of Commerce (CAM CCBC), the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (CPA), and with application of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules. She also works as a researcher in the international trade area, at the Global Trade and Investment Centre of the São Paulo School of Economics at the Getulio Vargas Foundation in São Paulo.

She has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of São Paulo (2007), an LLM in international and European commercial law from Leiden University (2011), and is a PhD candidate at the University of São Paulo (2023).

She is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
