Daniel joined Santamarina y Steta, SC, in January 2013. He previously worked as a paralegal at the Mexican Stock Market and at a publicly held company. In 2017, he will be doing an internship practice at CMS Hasche Sigle in Frankfurt.
He has drafted, reviewed and negotiated documents related to acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, asset and stock purchases, the restructuring of private and public companies, banking and securities, credit agreements, project finance, the irrevocable transfer of domain trusts, guaranty trusts, mortgages and credit restructurings. He has represented Mexican issuers in drafting various documentation for CNBV and US Securities and Exchange Commission filings, including disclosure requirements.
Daniel graduated with honours from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, and holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, as well as the Wharton Business and Law Certificate from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. During his LLM academic year, he was part of the University of Pennsylvania Law School Global Research Seminar on corporate governance.
