Peter Damerell is a partner of Powell Gilbert LLP, a London-based specialist intellectual property law firm. He specialises in IP litigation, advising clients on disputes across a diverse range of technologies. He has extensive experience in handling complex and high-value patent litigation before the UK courts. His cases are commonly international in nature, and he often works with legal advisers from across Europe, North America and Japan, contributing to and often coordinating multi-jurisdictional patent litigation strategies.

Before practising law, Peter received a first-class BA (Hons) in physiological sciences and an MSc in cellular physiology from the University of Oxford. His scientific background provides him with a firm understanding of technical issues, and he is experienced in working with a diverse range of technologies, including pharmaceutical products and formulations, biotechnology, medical devices, telecommunications and engineering.
