Oscar Campero is a graduate of the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), where he obtained his degree in economics. Subsequently, he obtained an executive master’s degree in business and administration from the University of Texas at Austin and of the ITESM.
Throughout his career, Mr Campero has taken several taxation, transfer pricing and valuation courses, particularly at ITAM, the Council for International Tax Education and the Financial Analyst Mexican Society. He is an active member of the Transfer Pricing Commission of Instituto Mexicano de Contadores Públicos and of the Fedearación de Colegios de Economistas de la República; and has collaborated on several articles on transfer pricing matters, published by different institutions.
Mr Campero’s professional practice began in 1995 in the special projects department of Acer Computer Mexico. In 1998, he joined Chevez, Ruiz, Zamarripa, were he was promoted to associate in 2002 and to partner in 2009. With more than 19 years of experience in transfer pricing, Mr Campero has advised clients in countless affairs, including compliance, strategic tax planning and audit procedures, as well as the negotiation and implementation of advanced pricing agreements with tax authorities.
