Simon El Kai is a partner at Abou Jaoude & Associates Law Firm with extensive multidisciplinary know-how and a particular emphasis on corporate law, media, mergers and acquisitions, pharmaceuticals, retail, and litigation and arbitration.

In the TMT sector, Mr El Kai has particular expertise advising major media and advertising groups on various aspects of their activities, including regulatory compliance, agreements, acquisitions and protection of IP rights. Simon worked on the ICC arbitration opposing the Lebanese government to one of the two GSM licence operators.

He is recognised as a leading lawyer by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. Mr El Kai holds a JD from the St Joseph University, Beirut, a master’s degree (DEA) in private law from the University of Paris II-Assas in Paris and a master of laws degree (LLM) from Columbia University in New York.

He is admitted to the Beirut Bar and is a member of the International Bar Association. He is fluent in Arabic, French and English, and has a working knowledge of Italian.
