Roberta Jacobs-Meadway’s more than 40-year career as a trademark attorney has hardly gone unnoticed. Routinely ranked in the top tier of intellectual property lawyers in Pennsylvania and hailed as the state’s preeminent trademark attorney, Roberta is a leader in the field -- not to mention, a groundbreaker in her profession: She was both the first female associate and first female partner at intellectual property firms in Philadelphia. She consults on matters related to trademarks, trade dress, portfolio management, copyright and unfair competition issues, including litigation in the federal courts and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Much of Roberta’s renown lies in her proven knowledge of the field. She has lectured and written extensively, including authoring chapters on, among other things, surveys and damages in copyright cases for chapters in treatises on intellectual property law. She also co-chaired related ALIABA and ALI-CLE programs on everything from licensing to cross-border transactions, and serves on the advisory board of ALI-CLE for intellectual property.
However, her successful practice owes just as much to her solid relationships: Roberta has represented some of the same clients for more than 35 years.
