Joana is a lawyer based in Lisbon, Portugal, qualified in Portugal and Brazil, and of counsel at BCH Lawyers. With nearly 20 years of practice, she enjoys a practice that spans a wide range of international commercial transactions and international arbitration, with a special focus on transaction works and disputes concerning plant construction, industrial engineering and civil construction projects.
Joana graduated in law at the Pontifical University of Rio de Janeiro, in 2000, with a Master of Law from the University of Cambridge, in 2003, and is a former partner and senior lawyer of prominent international law firms in Brazil.
Joana is the General Secretary of the Commission of Infrastructure and Economic Development of the Brazilian Bar Association, Rio de Janeiro Chapter.
She was a Recommended Lawyer in The Legal 500 Brazil in 2015 and 2016 for Projects and Infrastructure.
