Swarnima is a partner at Trilegal and is part of the employment practice. She has worked with both domestic and multinational clients on a wide range of employment matters. These include structuring senior management contracts and remuneration policies, advising on effective management of resignations and terminations, and strategising senior management exits.

Swarnima is considered one of the leading experts in the new sexual harassment law in India. She has advised and guided several multinational clients not only in managing such complaints, but also in assisting in the review and creation of sexual harassment policies and comprehensive guidelines for committee members. Swarnima represents Trilegal at the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), one of India’s largest IT associations, and regularly conducts training on the new law. She was also invited by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce and Bangalore Political Action Committee to speak on the challenges of implementing the new sexual harassment law, and the best practices that companies could adopt.

Swarnima has been recognised as a ‘next generation lawyer’ in The Legal 500 for 2017 and 2018. She has also been recognised by Chambers and Partners as an ‘up-and-coming’ lawyer in the area of employment law.
