Achiaa Akobour Debrah is a Senior Associate at N. Dowuona & Company. Achiaa’s key areas of focus include finance, projects and infrastructure. Her recent work with the firm include the development of a ship repair and maintenance facility in Ghana, the development and implementation of the USD 1 billion National Identification System Project and advising an international contractor on the construction of certain public infrastructure in Ghana. In addition to her financing experience for the above mentioned projects, Achiaa has advised on various corporate finance and security arrangements including a USD 100 million financing of the operations of a pan-African telecommunications infrastructure company and the financing of a containerised solar PV-solutions business in Ghana. Achiaa routinely advises corporate clients on various matters involving corporate law and governance, commercial law, property law, tax and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining the firm, Achiaa practised with Ghartey and Ghartey in their private client and dispute resolution teams. Achiaa obtained her LL.B. from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and also holds an LL.M. (with distinction) in International Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation from the University of Warwick. She is licensed to practise law in Ghana.
