Nnenda Hayatuddini is an associate at Detail. She is a core member of Detail’s banking, finance and power team, and has advised on several financing transactions in the infrastructure, power, oil and gas and real estate sectors. She brings to Detail her experience in the power sector as a pioneer member of the legal department of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc (NBET) and her innate ability to provide detailed structural advice to clients. Nnenda was part of the team that successfully structured and undertook the negotiation and execution of the power purchase agreement for Nigerian Breweries’ first solar-powered brewery in Africa. She is also part of the team advising the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on its Nigerian Energy Support Programme, which involves providing legal advisory services regarding the Nigerian electricity supply industry and GIZ’s efforts at enabling and fostering investments in the renewable energy, energy-efficiency and rural-electrification sectors in Nigeria. She recently facilitated a training programme conducted by GIZ on the Nigerian regulatory framework for off-grid solar projects at the German Project Development Training Week in April 2019, where she spoke on the legal, contractual and regulatory framework for off-grid solar projects in Nigeria. Nnenda obtained her law degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana in 2010. She was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2012 and obtained her Master of Laws from University College London in 2014.
