Doug Johnson is an associate in the global disputes group at Jones Day. His practice is focused on assisting clients involved in major energy, mining, and infrastructure projects. Doug has experience spanning a broad range of complex (and often highly technical) construction and commercial disputes, including contractual disputes, the full gamut of construction claims, regulatory investigations, urgent proceedings for injunctive relief, insurance coverage issues, and statutory claims under Australian consumer law (for unconscionable conduct, misleading and deceptive conduct, and product liability).
Doug has been involved in the conduct of proceedings in a number of Australian jurisdictions (including the High Court of Australia), as well as international arbitrations under the ICC and SIAC Rules. In the construction space, he has also assisted clients with the adjudication of a range of payment disputes under various security of payment regimes.
