Ada Szon is an associate in the energy and projects department at CMS Poland.
Ada specialises in advising entities in the energy sector on broadly understood regulatory issues. She advises companies on issues relating to licensing and business tariffs, and on commencing activities on the Polish market. Ada has experience in working for clients from different sectors, from oil and gas to electrical energy, and on topics ranging from investment process to state aid rules. She advised Polish power generators with regard to the European Commission’s ‘Clean Energy for All Europeans’ legislative package. Currently, she mainly focuses on supporting companies in the offshore and onshore wind farm sectors with respect to the implementation and development of their projects in Poland.
She also supports companies in the energy sector during proceedings between them and the President of the Energy Regulatory Authority, in administrative proceedings and in proceedings before the common courts.
Ada also has experience in environmental law, primarily in issues relating to industrial emissions, carbon trading, waste management, and water and sewage management. She took part in due diligence processes concerning, among others, networks of waste treatment plants.
Ada is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
