Ahmed Al-Rahma is an associate in the corporate group at Bird & Bird where he specialises in both Nordic and international transactions, including all aspects of public and private M&A, private equity, capital markets and other corporate law matters.
He has experience representing private equity sponsors, industrial investors and issuers in complex and multi-jurisdictional transactions. He has also represented issuers and underwriters in different types of capital markets matters, including rights issues and IPOs. Having founded and sold Sweden’s first peer-to-peer car-sharing company, his entrepreneurial background has given him a business-minded and solution-oriented approach, allowing him to provide customised legal advice based on Bird & Bird’s clients’ business and commercial strategies.
Prior to joining Bird & Bird, he worked as an associate in Linklaters M&A corporate group. He also served as a judicial clerk within the Swedish judiciary for several years, most recently at the Svea Court of Appeal in Stockholm.
He holds an LLM (law) from Stockholm University and an SSE business lab from the Stockholm School of Economics, and attended the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship.
