With more than 30 years’ experience in Business Law, Aimery de Schoutheete handles litigation and arbitration before the Belgian courts, foreign EU jurisdictions and national and international arbitration tribunals (ICC, CEPANI, Swiss Chambers, ad hoc proceedings). He focuses on the commercial distribution area, the natural resources, petro-chemical, commodities and agribusiness industries and the hospitality and construction sectors. A recognised specialist in the field of distribution law and arbitration, he is regularly appointed as arbitrator in proceedings before the ICC and CEPANI, whether as sole arbitrator, chairman of the tribunal or co-arbitrator. He was a member of the ICC task force on emergency arbitration and is admitted on the lists of arbitrators of the ICC, the CEPANI, the OHADA Arbitration Court, IDArb and the Swiss Chamber of Arbitration (SCAI). Chair of Liedekerke’s International Committee, he also heads Liedekerke’s Spanish Desk, Italy Desk and the Africa Practice Group. He is the founder and Chairman of Liedekerke DRC and Liedekerke Great Lakes.
