Akosua Achiaa Akobour Debrah is a partner at N. Dowuona & Company. She is recommended by Legal 500 in the areas of corporate, commercial and M&A, energy, and infrastructure projects. Her recent work with the firm includes the development of a ship repair and maintenance facility in Ghana, the development and implementation of the US$1 billion National Identification System Project and advising an international contractor on the construction of public infrastructure in Ghana. In addition to her financing experience for the aforementioned projects, Achiaa has advised on various corporate finance and security arrangements, including a US$100 million financing of the operations of a pan-African telecommunications infrastructure company and the financing of a containerised solar photovoltaic solutions business in Ghana. Achiaa routinely advises corporate clients on various matters involving corporate law and governance, commercial law, property law, tax and regulatory compliance.
Achiaa obtained her LLB from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and also holds an LLM (with distinction) in international corporate governance and financial regulation from the University of Warwick. She is licensed to practise law in Ghana.
