Alejandra Gutiérrez is an of counsel at Ibarra, del Paso y Gallego, SC. She graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana (2009) in Mexico City. She holds an LLM in commercial law from the University of Edinburgh (2015), United Kingdom.
She has over 10 years of experience advising foreign and domestic clients, focusing on corporate and real estate transactions and corporate social responsibility. She has been responsible for corporate book-keeping, due diligence and the updating of Mexican and foreign companies, as well as supervision of and compliance with reporting obligations derived from securities laws in Mexico and the United States. She also has experience of drafting, negotiation and review of different contracts pertaining to corporate and real estate matters.
Before joining the firm, she worked as legal manager in Grupo Televisa, SAB, supervising corporate matters of both domestic and foreign subsidiaries; and in Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aiza y Enríquez, SC, advising foreign and domestic clients on real estate matters.
Alejandra has co-authored specialised articles on legal real estate subjects and participated in the ‘Foreign Investment in Real Estate Projects’ chapter of the book ‘Real Estate Law: Select Topics and Sector Perspectives’, (Porrúa and ITAM, 2010).
