Alejandro Gallotti is a public law and constitutional law expert with 16 years of work experience in legal advice and litigation in different branches of the Venezuelan legal system, such as procedural law, administrative contentious matters, public finances, constitutional law and arbitration. He has been a professor of law at many of the most important law schools in Caracas (UCAB, UCV, UMA and UJMV), an academic researcher at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and a member of the advisory committee at the Ibero-American Arbitration Center (CIAR). He is also very well known in academic circles for his contributions in the field of legal doctrine in Venezuela, having authored many books (including The Power of Substitution of the Judge in the Administrative Function, The Right to Defence in Administrative Proceedings and State Prerogatives in Administrative Procedural Law) and articles, and he is a member of the editorial board for the National Assembly’s digital legal advice magazine and of the panel for the Andrés Bello Catholic University’s postgraduate law magazine). Alejandro Gallotti has been recognised by Chambers Latin America as a Band 3 public law expert and as a ‘recommended individual’ for antitrust.
