Alexandre Gleria is a partner in ASBZ and head of the tax department. Mr Gleria focuses his practice on tax and customs law. He is a speaker and professor of several tax law courses and author of academic and non-academic articles. He represents clients from a wide range of economic sectors, advising on litigation and strategic consulting. He has participated in discussions on important tax legislation. The last editions of Anuário Análise Advocacia 500 (Brazil), The Legal 500 (UK), Leaders League (France), Best Lawyers (UK) and Prêmio Confeb (Brazil) recognised Mr Gleria as one of the most distinguished tax lawyers in Brazil. Mr Gleria holds an LLB degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (2007), a post-graduation degree in tax from Fundação Getúlio Vargas – FGV (2008), a postgraduation degree in foreign trade (2009), a specialisation diploma in business law from UC Berkeley – California (2014) and an LLM degree from UC Berkeley – California (2014).
