Amar is a Partner in the Energy and Infrastructure practice group of Trilegal. His primary areas of practice are energy and infrastructure projects. He has represented the government, lenders, sponsors and developers on projects in various energy and infrastructure sectors such as power, roads, ports and agricultural storage.
He has significant experience of advising on all aspects of renewable energy projects (wind, solar and solar rooftop), including PPAs, EPC and O&M contracts and regulatory issues. On the conventional side, he has advised on PPAs, fuel supply and transport arrangements, financing agreements, EPC and O&M contracts and mine developer and operator contracts.
His experience includes advising on transaction structures and regulatory framework for project development; bankability analysis and due diligence; conducting bid processes; drafting, review and negotiation of tender documents, concession agreements, construction contracts, supply contracts, operation and maintenance contracts and off-take agreements. His clientele includes IFC, CLP, Sungrow, Candi Solar, Vitol, Macquarie, ITC, Vibgyor, Clean Solar, Sterling & Wilson etc.
Amar holds a M.Sc. in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution from Kings College London, the longest established programme in the field of construction law. In addition, Amar had also completed a secondment with the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company.
