Ana Castro Gonçalves is a partner in the tax department. She has been with the firm since 2002. She obtained her law degree at the University of Lisbon and has carried out postgraduate studies in advanced tax law and a master’s in international mergers and acquisitions.

Over the years, she has assisted national and international clients in cross-border tax planning and the structuring and negotiation of complex M&A transactions, joint ventures and restructurings.

Ana has also developed a significant practice in the rendering of consultancy services regarding direct and indirect taxation involving personal income tax and corporate income tax, customs duties, stamp duty and VAT, with a particular focus on the real estate investment and tourism areas. She has successfully allied this practice with the matters raised in the areas of administrative and environmental law, focusing on administrative litigation and on environmental responsibility, environmental tax, environmental administrative offences, pre-litigation and court proceedings.

Ana is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association and the Portuguese Fiscal Association. She also represents Caiado Guerreiro at the United Tax Network.
