Andrew Kalamut is an associate in McCarthy Tétrault’s litigation group in Toronto. He maintains a general civil and corporate/commercial litigation practice, with a focus on professional negligence, mining disputes and construction/infrastructure disputes.

Mr Kalamut has appeared at all levels of courts in Ontario, including the Court of Appeal, as well as various administrative tribunals. In addition, he has represented clients in international arbitrations. 

Mr Kalamut is a member of the global mining litigation practice group at McCarthy Tétrault, as well as the international arbitration practice group. 

He is a regular contributor to the firm’s mining industry blog ‘Mining Prospects’ and annual Mining in the Courts publication. Mr Kalamut also contributes to the firm’s ‘International Arbitration’ blog. He has authored various articles and speaks at seminars on topics of advocacy. He is currently an instructor at the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, where he teaches trial advocacy.
