Dr Antonios D Tsavdaridis, is a partner and the head of arbitration at Rokas (Athens), specialising in dispute resolution and in particular international arbitration and complex litigation. He has 30 years of experience in disputes involving litigation and arbitration before leading arbitration centres worldwide, and under various sets of rules (including ICC, LCIA, AAA/ICDR and the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules) and has acted in various arbitral seats, including London, Paris, Geneva, Zurich, Vienna, Stockholm, Frankfurt, Athens, Helsinki and Bucharest. He has acted as counsel, adviser or arbitrator (chairman, sole arbitrator and co-arbitrator) for many parties, including governments and multinational corporations, in various disputes involving issues of privatisation, investment, energy, M&A, banking, insurance, construction, international trade (including shipping), agency, telecommunications. He holds a PhD in international arbitration and is the author of many books and articles. He is the vice president of the Greek Arbitration Association, Secretary General of the European Court of Arbitration and an ICCA and AIDA Greek chapter member. He has also been a drafter of the Maritime Arbitration Rules of the Piraeus Association for Maritime Arbitration.
