Asep has been practising in Indonesia since 2004 and focuses on commercial litigation, competition, arbitration, criminal, customer protection and administrative law cases. Asep also handles disputes in the construction area.

Among the major competition law cases in which Asep has played a leading role are the Indonesian Competition Commission’s (KPPU) actions against various large companies, including Danone’s subsidiary, PT Tirta Investama, over allegations of unfair business practice, and PT Meratus Line, over allegations of a cartel to fix the amount of the freight container tariff. He has also handled a number of merger and acquisition notifications to KPPU in relation to competition issues, in addition to conducting due diligence on commercial arrangements and activities of clients and providing advice or memorandum of distribution arrangements, joint venture agreements and other commercial arrangements, from both an Indonesian and a competition law perspective.
Asep is also regularly invited to speak at training sessions and conferences on competition law, consumer protection, bankruptcy and suspension of payment, as well as corruption issues.
