Aspasia Malliou has more than 30 years of exclusive experience in tax law and vast experience in litigating and advising on income, inheritance, donation and capital gains tax imposed on individuals and companies, tax arising from a broad range of transactions and indirect taxation. She also advises on international tax planning issues as well as on tax structure for business, families and individuals. She is the editor and owner of Deltio Forologikis Nomothesias, a leading (and the oldest) Greek fortnightly tax journal. Aspasia is secretary of the Greek Association of Tax Law and Fiscal Studies in which capacity she has organised and participated in conferences and working groups on the interpretation of tax legislation in Greece and abroad. She is also treasurer of the Greek department of the International Fiscal Association and a board member of the Tax Committee of the Greek–French Chamber of Commerce and Industry and she participates in the International Planning Association. During the past three decades, she has taken part in committees set up to examine tax legislation in the context of public consultations at the Ministry of the Economy and working groups on the improvement of the taxation system at the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises. She also occasionally addresses lectures on tax to master level programmes.
