The principal practice areas of Atsushi Okada are information technology, intellectual property, data protection, cybersecurity, payment services and electronic money. He advises on all types of domestic and cross-border transactions related to fund transfers, credit cards, prepaid cards and mobile payment industries. Atsushi Okada was educated at the University of Tokyo and Harvard Law School. He served as a member of the study group (and the chair of a working group) on artificial intelligence and data contract guidelines for the Japanese government’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
