Ben Heron is a partner at Slaughter and May. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions and a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions. His work includes advising Standard Chartered Bank on its strategic joint venture to build a new standalone digital retail bank in Hong Kong; Eastspring Investments on its acquisition of a controlling stake in Thanachart Fund Management; GE Capital on the sale of its stake in SBI Card to the Carlyle Group and the State Bank of India; Prudential on its bancassurance arrangement with United Overseas Bank; and FWD on the acquisition of SCB Life from, and bancassurance arrangement with, Siam Commercial Bank.
Mr Heron is qualified in England and Wales and in Hong Kong. He has published in the areas of hedge funds and asset management.
