Bernard Lui is a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP and also a director at Morgan Lewis Stamford LLC, a Singapore law corporation affiliated with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. Bernard focuses on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate finance, including initial public offerings (IPO) and placements, as well as post-IPO corporate governance and compliance issues. As a registered professional with the Singapore Exchange (SGX), he also supervises companies listed on the Catalist (the sponsor-supervised board of the SGX). Bernard currently serves as the leader of the firm’s Singapore corporate and business transactions practice.
With 30 years of experience, Bernard has managed a number of significant M&A and corporate finance transactions across a broad spectrum of sectors. In line with these transactions, he has developed a strong reputation as a deal-maker who can deliver clients’ objectives in an innovative style regardless of complexities. His deal work has been recognised by Chambers Global and Chambers Asia-Pacific, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, IFLR1000 and Asialaw Leading Lawyers. Bernard is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors’ Professional Development Committee and Regulatory Affairs Committee.
