Xinying’s main areas of practice are in litigation and international arbitration, including in complex cross-border disputes.

She has acted for a broad range of clients including large MNCs, public-listed companies, institutional insurers, insolvency practitioners, as well as financial institutions. Her main areas of expertise are in shareholder disputes, professional liability disputes and contentious insolvency matters. She has acted in matters involving asset-tracing in different scenarios including for purposes of cross-border enforcement of significant foreign judgments, seeking accounting of profits against wrongdoing directors and tracing the security interests of bank lenders in insolvency situations.

She was seconded to Serle Court Chambers, London and was appointed as a Tribunal Secretary by the London Court of International Arbitration. She is an Accredited Mediator with the Singapore Mediation Centre. She contributes to the Singapore Civil Procedure (‘White Book’) and is also a facilitator of the Insolvency Law and Practice module as part of the Bar Course administered by the Singapore Institute of Legal Education.
