Daniel Palomino is partner and head of the mining and sustainable development law practice at Estudio Muñiz, Olaya, Melendez, Castro, Ono & Herrera Abogados. Over the past eight years, he has been quite involved in the most sophisticated transactions in the Peruvian mining arena, providing legal advice to mining companies, contractors and foreign investors related to the largest mining operations in Peru. He specialises in regulatory mining matters, environmental mining affairs, and occupational health and safety in mining operations, including administrative sanction procedures related to the mentioned subjects.

Daniel Palomino graduated from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru and holds an LLM in law and technology from Tel Aviv University. Also, he got a scholarship to pursue the Entrepreneurship and Innovation programme – InnovNation in the Rothberg International School of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and another scholarship to study the digitalisation and law programme at Julius-Maximilians Universität Würzburg. Presently, he is an administrative law professor in the School of Law of Universidad de San Martin de Porres in Lima, Peru.
